“Nasha
Phir Se” is Babla’s first Hindi album, dedicated to his friends in the
music industry. The album has eight songs, composed, arranged and mixed by
Bulbul, Lyton, Polash, Suv & Nobo. The melodious, romantic numbers are
creating quite a stir in Guwahati and his cover version of Zoheb Hassan’s
“Chehra” has touched a chord with the generation fed on disco fervor of
the 80’s. “Nasha” and “Jane Kahan” are also fast becoming popular among
the youth; “Jane Kahan” is accompanied by a music video.
Babla’s debut Assamese album was “Jadoo” which was released five years
ago.
Babla, as he is popularly known, runs “RISING” a leading recording studio
at Zoo-Road Tiniali along with his friend Nobo. Having a studio of his own
was one of his dream projects after Babla passed his diploma in sound
engineering from Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT), Noida in
1997.
This album is definitely a stepping-stone for Babla and all those hidden
talents from the North-east music scenario who want to make a mark in the
Indian music industry by sticking to their roots – “Home is where the
Heart is”.
