An Evening to Remember :

Our programme will have five distinct sections. Each of this sections will be interspersed to produce different segments for about 25-30 minutes each with a collaboration of musical performances by Assamese artists as well as renowned singer from Bollywood, dance, firework, stand-up comedy performance, so on and so forth.

• Opening Act : “Rhythm of Northeast”, choreographed dance performance with different drums and percussions of Northeast India, befitting the musical gala followed by firecrackers show by team from Barpeta.
• Felicitation : Total of nine awardees would be felicitated from the below categories:
1. Lifetime achievement Award to Dr Bhupen Hazarika
2. Popular awards through voting: Popular male singer, Popular female singer, Popular lyricist, Popular composer
3. Jury award’s: Best male singer, Best female singer, Best lyricist, Best composer
• The Journey of Assamese Music : Each era of Assamese Music will be presented in a colourfull way with music, period costume and choreographed dance from that era. A wide range of contemporary celebrities will bring forth the legendary works of yester years in the form of medleys to keep the audience mesmerized
• Performance by famous contemporary Assamese musical artists: Musical performances by current generation popular singers.
• Performance by a celebrated Bollywood artiste: Bollywood bas an indelible place in the hearts of Assamese people, both young and old. With this in mind we before you a much celebrated artiste from Bollywood, all the way from Mumbai. This will ensure the continuously celebrative mood and involvement of the audience.
